§ Dawn PrimaroloSir Gerald has completed his independent inquiry and has submitted his report. My commitment was to make available to the House a summary of the report and its recommendations but I have decided to go further and to place a copy of Sir Gerald's full report in the Library of the House.
The Chairman of Customs has accepted his conclusions and recommendations in full. The Commissioners are taking action as a matter of priority to implement the report's recommendations in order to remedy the failings identified.
