To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what further extension he proposes to the CARAD programme. [93198]

§ Mr. Battle
The DTI Expenditure Plans Report (March 1999) confirmed CARAD funding for 1999–2000 at £20 million. A similar amount was also indicated for the following two years although the Secretary of State will continue to review the balance of funding across the whole range of DTI programmes.
