Further to the Written Answer by Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean on 5 July (WA 68), whether the rules governing official secrets or the commercial use of information gained in government service which apply to ministerial special advisers apply to personal representatives of the Prime Minister; and, if not, whether they will publish the rules of conduct for such personal representatives. § The Minister of State, Cabinet Office (Lord Falconer of Thoroton)Access to papers and information for any individual acting as a personal representative of a Minister is at the discretion of the Minister concerned. The normal rules relating to security clearance and confidentiality apply.
