§ Mr. Tony LloydMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State had an open and cordial meeting with the new Chilean Foreign Minister, Sr. Valdes, in Rio on 27 June. My right hon. Friend emphasised the need for our two governments to work together to steer our relationship through this difficult period without serious damage. Both agreed to keep open the lines of communication between them.
