To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on progress for appointing a new chair for the Welsh Arts Council. [72768]

Interviews to select a successor to Sir Richard Lloyd Jones have taken place and I hope to announce a decision shortly.

Following the transfer of functions, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly.
