To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, pursuant to his answer of 25 January 1999,Official Report, column 64, if he will list the organisations which make up the London 2003 Consortium. [70154]

Mr. Banks

The 2003 Bid Consortium is a committee of individuals set up under the auspices of UK Athletics. The Consortium is chaired by Len Hatton, Chair of Sport Z, and its membership comprises Bill Glad, ex-international athlete, ex-IAAF Executive Officer; Adrian Metcalfe, ex-international athlete, Chair of API Television, UK Sports Council Member; and John Boulter, ex-international athlete. David Moorcroft, Chief Executive Officer of UK Athletics is also closely involved.
