Mr. Jon Owen JonesThe latest available data relate to I October 1997 at which time there were 1,874 general medical practitioners in Wales, of which 1,753 were unrestricted principals. Data relating to 1 October 1998 will be available in the spring of this year and will be published by the NHS Executive in 'General Medical Services Statistics', a copy of which will be placed in the Library of the House.
Following the transfer of powers, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly.
