To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the specialist units which provide services to chronic fatigue syndrome/ME patients in Wales. [70165]

All district general hospitals will provide specialist secondary care assessment of such cases as recommended by the Report of the Joint Working Group of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, Psychiatrists and General Practitioners in October 1996. Wales also has one tertiary clinic in the University of Wales which will accept referrals for specific cases.

Following the transfer of powers, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly.
