Mr. Rowlands

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has made of the number of people taken on under the New Deal arrangements by each of the health trusts in Wales.[60535]

By the end of October 1998, five New Deal participants had been recruited by Health Trusts in Wales:

  • 1 by Clwydian Community Care NHS Trust;
  • 1 by Glan Clwyd DGH NHS Trust;
  • 1 by Glan Y Mor NHS Trust;
  • 1 by Llanelli Dinefwr NHS Trust;
  • 1 by Nevill Hall and District NHS Trust.

In addition, 11 other Health Trusts have signed New Deal employer agreements.
