To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the Cattle Movement Service. [58069]

Further to my reply of 19 October 1998 to my hon. Friend, I can record that as of 10 November 1998, the British Cattle Movement Service has issued 293,391 passports and processed 126,083 notifications of cattle movements since its launch on 28 September.

Eastbury House, Albert Embankment, London Fifteen spaces are available for either motorcycles or cars—all secure.
Nobel House and Ergon House, Smith Square, London Public parking facilities are available nearby.
3-8 and 10 Whitehall Place and 55 Whitehall, London Public parking facilities are available nearby.
Epsom Road, Guildford Motorcyclists share the secure car parking facilities. There is sufficient space to meet any demand that might arise.
Hook Rise South, Tolworth Six designated motorcycle parking spaces—all secure.
Kings Pool, York Fourteen designated motorcycle parking spaces—all secure.

Some buildings, such as those in Whitehall, have nowhere where motorcycle parking could be made available. Other sites do have suitable areas and the Department will try to meet the needs of cyclists (whether pedal cyclists or motor cyclists) for parking and changing facilities, if possible.
