§ Janet Anderson[holding answer 4 November 1998]: S4C has recently announced that it will transmit a substantial proportion of Channel 4's live Test match coverage of Wales, subject to other scheduling demands. Channel 4 has announced plans for substantial investment in the promotion and development of cricket over the next four years. Cricket in Wales will benefit from this additional funding and from the continued exposure of a good proportion of the sport's flagship events to wide television audiences.
