§ Mr. Mandelson[holding answer 27 October 1998]: Policy responsibility for the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC) has remained with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Twelve officials within DCMS support my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and me on issues relating to the Millennium celebrations including the Millennium Experience.
