§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Department is in regular contact with the Department of Health on policy issues which have a possible impact on transport, including388W traffic levels. These issues are currently being considered in the development of the Integrated Transport White Paper which will be published later this year. The town planning and transport aspects of local hospital facility closures is primarily a matter for the relevant NHS Trust and the local authority.
