§ Ms Glenda JacksonIn London such matters are for London Transport, in the letting and monitoring of contracts for bus services. Elsewhere they are chiefly for bus operators, and for local authorities where service subsidy contracts are concerned. I am glad that, in addition, a number of local authorities are entering into quality partnerships with bus operators, to make bus services more attractive to present and potential passengers.
