§ Mr. FatchettThe current situation in the Gulf has led me to postpone my forthcoming visit to China. However, we will continue to express our concerns about human rights to the Chinese authorities at every suitable opportunity. My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary did this most recently when he met Chinese leaders in Peking in January 1998.
