§ Mr. Alan HowarthI was very pleased to be able to announce to the House on 9 November 1998,Official Report, column 59, that my Department will pay an annual revenue subsidy grant to the National Coal Mining Museum for England from next year. The Museum, based at the former Caphouse Colliery near Wakefield, has a fascinating story to tell about an industry which, both economically and socially, has been of enormous importance to this country.
