The duties and responsibilities of the Territorial, Auxiliary and Volunteer Reserve Associations are set out in the Reserve Forces Act 1996. The relationship between the Ministry of Defence and the Associations has been looked at in the course of the Strategic Defence Review. No final decisions have yet been made, and I am unable to speculate on the outcome of the review.
