§ Mr. IngramThere was a total of 67 incidents involving violent behaviour or assaults reported in HMP Maze 1994 to 1997. The total is broken down as follows:
- 1994–11
- 1995–25
- 1996–18
- 1997–8
There have been a total of 208 complaints which have been registered as assaults on Prison Staff at HMP Maze, 179 disciplinary charges were initiated as a result, of which 38 charges led to further punishments.
There have been 26 complaints registered as assaults against inmates during the four years in question. 3 disciplinary charges were initiated as a result, but disciplinary action is still pending.
