§ Mr. ByersWe have assessed the impact of the School Standards and Framework Bill on Departmental staffing, and expect a reduction of approximately 50 posts over time as a result of the introduction of local decision making on school organisation issues. But there may need to be some additional support for the new Adjudicators on school organisation and admissions. The precise numbers of staff required will depend upon the volume of cases referred to the Adjudicator.
