§ Mr. KilfoyleAll Departments and agencies are responsible for meeting targets set down in relevant charters. In addition, central Government Departments must meet six service standards laid down for central Government. We will be considering as part of the relaunch of the Charter programme how better to ensure that targets are actually delivered.

§ Mr. KilfoyleWe will relaunch the citizen's charter and focus it on the needs and wishes of the people who both use and deliver public services every day. Details of the new Charter programme will be published as part of the Better Government initiative.
