§ Mr. HagueAll major schemes—those costing over £3 million—in the forward trunk road programme have been reviewed in the light of the spending priorities I announced in the House of Commons on 12 December 1996, columns 405–19, on public expenditure in Wales in 1997–98. The competing priorities of individual schemes have been reassessed given the limited resources available. Details of the revised forward trunk road programme will be published on 20 March in the Welsh Office's departmental report. Copies of the report will be placed in the Library of the House.
