To ask the Chairman of the Public Accounts Commission what representations he has received about the possibility of widening the remit of the Public Accounts Commission. [2037]

I refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave earlier today to my hon. Friend, the Member for Workington (Mr. Campbell-Savours). The remit of the Public Accounts Commission is set out in the National Audit Act 1983 but if my hon. Friend has any suggestions about widening the remit I should be happy to receive them. I have not so far received any representations on this matter.
