Mr. Burnett

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many(a) boys and (b) girls aged under 18 years have been received into prisons and young offenders institutions in England and Wales following sentence or remand into custody in each of the last six years for which figures are available by (i) age of offender and (ii) category of offence; and if he will make a statement.
