To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security when the Child Support Agency expects to reply to the letter of 27 October from the hon. Member for Aylesbury relating to case 1012119700. [21919]

We are determined to ensure that the Child Support Agency provides an efficient and effective service to all its customers, including their representatives.

The administration of the Child Support Agency is a matter for the Chief Executive, Mrs. Faith Boardman. She will write to the hon. Member.

Letter from Mike Isaac to Mr. David Lidington, dated 22 December 1997: In the absence of Mrs. Boardman, the Chief Executive, I am replying to your Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State for Social Security about a reply from the Child Support Agency to your letter of the 27 October relating to case 1012119700. The letter was received by the Midlands Business Unit on 30 October and a response was sent by the Business Unit Manager on 11 December. Please accept my apologies as this failed to meet the Departmental standard to reply to MP correspondence within 20 working days. I hope this is helpful.
