§ Mr. Boswell[holding answer 24 July 1996]: Local planning authorities are required to consult the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food about any development proposal which does not accord with the development plan and which involves, or is likely to lead to, the loss of more than 20 hectares of agricultural land of grades 1, 2 or 3a.
