Mr. Sweeney

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement about the membership of the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales. [24005]

Mr. Hague

I have appointed Mr. Lloyd Fitzhugh as deputy chairman of the commission from 1 April in succession to Mr. Richard Hall Williams. Mr. Fitzhugh has been a member of the commission since 1994.

I have also appointed Mrs. Susan Smith as a member of the commission.
