§ Mr. HoramMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has accepted the recommendations in "Policy Framework for Commissioning Cancer Services". Further guidance is being issued on the developing process of implementation and substantive changes to the delivery of cancer services are expected in 1997–98. Health authorities and trusts are already working together to develop local strategies and making preliminary steps in designating cancer units and cancer centres to provide specialised services for cancer care.
