§ Mr. HanleyI refer the hon. Gentleman to my reply to the hon. Member for Leeds, Central (Mr. Fatchett) on 20 December 1995,Official Report, column 1177. In 1990–91 and 1991–92—the years not covered by my earlier reply—UK bilateral aid to Burma amounted to £68,000 and £53,000 respectively. All UK bilateral assistance over the past five years has been on grant terms, largely for humanitarian aid.
