§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 21 May 1996]: We are not aware of any scientific studies on the damage to fisheries by Goosanders in England. Investigations into such damage for selected sites in England are part of the current three-year research and development programme commissioned in 1995 by this Ministry, the Department of the Environment and the Environment Agency. The results of the research will be published as they become available.
