§ Mr. Evans[holding answer 25 June 1996]: Animal welfare matters are part of the duties of a grade 7, a higher executive officer, an executive officer and an administrative officer in the Agriculture Department of the Welsh Office and of an HEO and an EO in the local government division. Senior officers and lawyers deal with animal welfare as necessary.
