To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he plans to begin the construction of the A570 Ormskirk bypass. [7934]

Mr. Watts

The A570 Ormskirk bypass scheme remains in the main programme. I hope to announce a preferred route shortly. Further development work will be taken forward when resources become available.
