Further to the Written Answer of Baroness Blatch on 11 th November 1996 (WA 82), whether the proposed Bills on paedophiles and stalkers were in draft form on 2nd December 1996, and whether either or both will be introduced into the House of Lords before the Christmas Recess.
§ The Minister of State, Home Office (Baroness Blatch)The Protection from Harassment Bill, which deals with the menace of stalking, was introduced in another place on 5th December. The date of introduction of the Bill into this House will depend on the speed of its passage in another place.
The other Bill to which the noble Lord refers will be introduced at the earliest opportunity. No decision has yet been made as to which House should consider the Bill first.
