§ Mr. Robin SquireOfficials who take responsibility for the Department's computer systems are keenly aware of the potential difficulties presented by the year 2000. During the coming months they will undertake a thorough audit of the software to establish the scale of the problem. They will then prepare and execute a plan of action to overcome them using, where necessary, advice from the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency and suppliers.
