To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what dates he approved the use by the Indonesian Government of British-supplied defence equipment against(a) the GAM: Aceh, (b) the OPM: West Papua/Irian Jaya; and (c) FRETLIN: East Timor. [23865]

We would not approve the export of defence equipment likely to be used for internal repression in Indonesia or East Timor.

We have no evidence that British-supplied defence equipment has been so used.
