Mr. John M. TaylorThe working group on the enforcement of financial penalties is chaired by a senior official from my Department and, as well as other members of the Department, includes representatives from the Home Office, Magistrates' Association, Justices' Clerks' Society, Central Council of Magistrates' Courts' Committees, Association of Magisterial Offices and the Magistrates' Courts' inspectorate. The working group is expected to continue for at least a year, but it hopes to be in a position to 1301W issue guidance to the magistrates courts as and when conclusions are reached during that period.
