§ Mr. SoamesUp to 14 Ministry of Defence policemen have been deployed in the vicinity of Millbay docks during recent protests against live animal exports. Their purpose was to assist Devon and Cornwall police with particular regard to the protection of adjacent Ministry of Defence property. Provision for this was made from existing resources and no additional costs were incurred.
