§ Mr. Jonathan EvansSince the review was announced on 17 January 1994,Official Report, column 381, colleagues and I have received some 3,500 representations 317W from various organisations and individuals about the review of fire safety legislation and enforcement. Following the publication of the review team's report for full consultation, over 460 organisations and individuals have provided detailed written comments on the recommendations in the report.
All these comments are now being fully analysed. No decisions will be taken on making changes to the current fire safety legislation and enforcement regime until we have carefully considered all the views that have been expressed.
