§ Mr. CranTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence what discussions he has had over the possibility of relocating the Museum of Army Transport from Beverley to Ministry of Defence land on Driffield airfield. [6009]
§ Mr. SoamesThe Museum of Army Transport and officials within my Department have corresponded on this matter. Driffield airfield is used by the Army as a training area. Although 7.42 hectares of land are to be sold, that property is tenanted and cannot be made available to the museum; no other suitable land has been declared surplus.
