§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe believe that the Sudanese People's Liberation Army factions obtain their arms from a variety of sources. We have seen reports concerning the supply of arms by the Government of Sudan to one faction, but have no clear evidence to confirm this.
Both the main factions have clashed with Government forces as well as each other, in recent months.
