To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he has taken to develop pilot systems of environmentally adjusted national accounts by 1995.

Mr. Atkins

My Department, together with other Government departments, is to participate in a project led by the Central Statistical Office to develop a pilot system of satellite accounts linked to the input/output framework of national accounts.
