Mr. Byers

To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will place in the Library a copy of his response to the Advertising Standards Authority reports on the recent complaints concerning his Department's advertisements relating to grant-maintained status when that report is made available.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 27 April 1994,Official Report, columns 193–94. Once the outcome of the ASA's investigations is published, which is expected within the next week, a copy of the Department's response to their investigations will be placed in the Library.
