§ Mr. Lennox-BoydBilateral aid to Peru during the coming year will be largely technical co-operation. Expenditure is likely to amount to approximately £3 million in 1994–95 financial year. This involves agreed activities in animal health, renewable energy generation, teacher training, scholarships for technical training for Peruvians in the United Kingdom, and small development projects managed through the British embassy.
Further projects either under development or planned will be directed mainly to support for health service reform, family planning and reproductive health services, renewable' natural resources and water conservation. Assistance will also be provided through funds made available to United Kingdom non-governmental organisations under the joint funding scheme. In 1994–95 this support is likely to amount to over £1 million for activities in a wide variety of sectors.
