HC Deb 04 March 1994 vol 238 c909W
Mr. Gareth Wardell

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales who are the present members of the committee set up for Wales under section 2(3) of the Forestry Act 1967; and if he will also list the dates and venue of the committee meetings.

Sir Wyn Roberts

Under the Forestry Act 1967 the Forestry Commissioners are statutorily obliged to appoint a committee for Wales. However, the role of the committee was effectively diminished in 1965 when the commissioners abolished national directorates as part of a streamlining exercise to remove a management tier. Its current members are Mr. C. R. Woosnam CBE, Mr. R. T. Bradley, Mr. M. A. McLaggan and Mr. D. M. Hughes. The committee last met in 1985.
