HL Deb 02 March 1994 vol 552 c79WA
The Marquess of Ailesbury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the number of prosecutions for vandalism directed against London Underground trains shows a declining trend.

Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish

The number of prosecutions for vandalism has fallen substantially over the last few years. This may in part reflect a significant decline in the overall incidence of vandalism on the Underground. The incidence of graffiti in particular has shown an encouraging fall of around a third over the last two years.
