§ Lord Lester of Herne Hillasked Her Majesty's Government:
Further to their answer of 6 June (HL Deb, col. WA 67), how many certificates have been issued by Ministers under Section 69(2) of the Race Relations Act 1976 blocking effective access to industrial tribunals on conclusively asserted grounds of national security, and whether such certificates have caused "difficulties" to applicants in having the merits of their claims determined by industrial tribunals.
Earl FerrersThe information requested is not held centrally and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. We are not, though, aware that the existence of the power has caused difficulties to applicants.
