To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what steps he is taking to improve the efficiency of his Department.

[Pursuant to the reply, 14 February, column 628.] My hon. Friend may wish to be aware that in 1994–95 the Welsh Office is seeking to achieve efficiency savings of 6 per cent. This compares with the Treasury requirement to make savings of at least 2 per cent.
