When they intend to proceed with making regulations under the powers provided under Section 49 of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 to enable staff to transfer from health authority to local authority employment in connection with care in the community.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)The regulations as described will not now be made. This is because they would not have helped secure the outcome envisaged.
