§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe dualling of the Al between Haddington and Dunbar was one of the major schemes which my right hon. Friend recently announced that he expected to start between April 1995 and March 1997 in his statement about progress on trunk road construction and proposed starts in Scotland in the next three years. My officials plan to publish draft road orders in August this year. A public exhibition will be held to explain the details of the proposals. Further progress will, of course, be dependent on the public reaction to the proposals and availability of finance.
