To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on progress made in implementing a strategy for sustainable development by the United Kingdom.

The Government published on 25 January 1994 the United Kingdom strategy for sustainable development, together with the United Kingdom's climate change programme, biodiversity action plan and forestry programme, as announced on 20 January,Official Report, column 844. Copies have been laid before the House.
