To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment she has made of the implications for British agricultural exports of the North American free trade agreement; and if she will make a statement.

The North American free trade agreement principally removes tariffs in trade between the three participating countries.

In so far as it leads to increased economic activity in north America it should benefit all exports to these markets.
